Falls of the Ohio

Our general meetings are held at the Louisville Nature Center, 3745 Illinois ave. starting at 7:00 PM on the third Thursday of the following months February, March, April, May, June, September, October and November. We generally have an annual dinner in December (the second Monday of that month) and an annual picnic is held in July.

My family and I drove to the Bridges To The Past and the Tioga Falls Trailhead Parking Area this afternoon (Sunday the 19th of February). Both trails are posted as closed until further notice due to ongoing heavy construction on what looked like a new elevated trestle crossing parallel to the current old crossing.

We also checked out Fort Duffield which is open. The boat launch on the Salt River in West Point is publicly owned now. There is a user fee which is self-registered if no attendant is present in the building.
